i switched. haha i bought my 5dmk2 with a 50mm 1.2 ... and i love it. Honestly the camera feels really good. im still tryin learning the buttons to switch through menu's but ill get the hang of it. omg wide open 1.2 portraits.. can't compare to anything else..

today was a good day. me adrienne and daniel went out to the city and just kicked it.. met up with jess, and then later met up with brian and nicole. we all just kicked it, ate, walked around. After chillen in the city for a bit brian decided we should go out to twin peaks and kick it. twin peaks is a sick ass view. it was freeeeezing though. also that night there was a fireworks show, so we got to see the whole city and fireworks going off. it was nice. then adrienne and I went home, and i got to work on my photos. Honestly none of them really need any work, just cropping really, and a bit of burning. well peace..

!!! man, havn't posted in a while, Ive been just shooting like a mad man. haha im stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. I dont know whether to get the d700 or switch from nikon to canon and get the 5dmk2!. haha idk.. 50mm 1.2 sounds heavenly with canon. But the performance from the d700 isn't comparable. adrienne and i went to sanjosecamera today and i was able to play with both. I wasn't really feeling the menu and workings of the 5dmk2, but the d700 felt at home. well idk. check out my flickr whoever reads this and you can check my updated port. www.flickr.com/jmpgraphy . 4/15/09 San Jose Tea Party Protest

So I got word that today at CCP there was going to be a tea party protest like there has been around the country. I decided to check it out, and it was much more then i expected. A lot of people chanting for what they believed in, but then there was also a lot of racism which was really wack. I really just kept snapping people and let both sides of the situation act ignorant towards each other.

Saturday in San Francisco

My first saturday off and man what saturday it was. I had my day planned aleady. Wake up, take cal train to sf, and snap photos. What a criteria huh. Well thats exactly what i did. Woke up, got ready blah blah then headed to cal train for some photos in sf. I am very very pleased with the images that were processed today. todays project taught me so much. I learned things by myself, and also from other people. I met quite a few people as well. man today was just amazing. just to give a shout out, i met a photographer today. (michael johnson , http://www.michaeljimage.com/ ) off Grant and Sutter today. He had all his work out on display for sale. I was taking a look at some work and was very amazed, and he noticed i had my camera and note pad out. We conversated for a while about photography and life. Mos def words of wisdom. I was intrigued on how he has so many images in cuba. He told me the story of how he was able to get into cuba, and how the cubian citizans were so polite and amazed that a photographer was there. I even purchased one of his photos. If you go to http://www.michaeljimage.com/ and look at the picture on the main page that is the photo i bought. The photo speak so much. Honestly Mr. Johnson has truely inspired me to go out and shoot more and put all my heart into what i am shooting. weekend

yoyo, man sunday damn, too bad the weekend is over. Monday is the first day that i start mon-fri now. cooo!! haha weekends off finally, waited a year. haha .. well this weekend was chill saterday yeah i had work but saterday night purish boutique hosted a music and art show. it was really chill. lots of chill cats out there. met one of the artist (mike borja) cool dude. sick work. my boy jared (waddup son!) was djing that night, putting it down on the ones and twos. adrienne even came out that night!!! crazy huh!!! haha. after purist me and adrienne went to go chill with daniel for a bit and then around 1ish we headed home. After i dropped off miss adrienne i hit up andrew and they were chillen at his pad. Man everyone was drunk haha. JP!! DUDE knocked out.. haha Christian hooked him up with some tattoo's .. hahaha! After that i headed home around 245, and then stayed up until 430 trying to finish the photos from purist.


As for today! sunday. man chill day. I woke up and finished the rest of the pictures from last night. then met up with everyone at hydration and just chilled there for a while. i saw this guy named Joe again, dope photographer from what ive seen from his flickr, shooting with his hasselblad 500c. Damn medium format.. sick .. he inspired me to want to shoot more.. After chillen at hydration we did a small ride through the guadalupe trail to SJ airport. After that everyone headed over to the lab. I just headed home so I could go visit my grandparents.. before goin to my grandparents.. and meeting up with joe again, I dusted off my old camera bag and brought out the old 35mm minolta.. haha put the 50mm 1.4 battery still good, and had some new film haha started taking pics with that. Then just headed to grandpas and ate dinner with them. After that I headed back dt, and met up with the folks and just tarcked around. Then now im home.. good weekend. Thanks dudes.
